(6-6-17) The OHSAA released Region assignments for the 2017 High School football season.  The placements are the first year using the new competitive balance program.

Five of six Mercer County schools will all compete in D VI Region 24 for the first time in 2017.  Ft. Recovery moved up from D VII and Coldwater moved down from D V.

Mercer County’s other school Celina will be in Region 12 in D III along with WBL rivals Shawnee, Elida and Wapakoneta.
