Dion Puthoff of @russia_raiders knocked on our door to give this to Jon. Who says sports don’t teach life lessons? Fine young man! #classact pic.twitter.com/S5B0HaNb5g

For Niemeyer the walk-off hit that won a Sate Championship is what every kid dreams of doing. For Dion Puthoff, the SS for the Russia Raiders it was a tough loss in the biggest game of his life to a backyard neighbor.
But what happened recently after that game is a reason to celebrate high school sports. Puthoff picked up the ball that was the game winning hit and was going to keep it as a memory of a great tournament run. But what he did next was a sign of a young man who understands the true value of sportsmanship.
Dion Puthoff, thanks for reminding us all about what is important in life, you are a ‘Class Kid’. You may have not won a state title, but you a winner in every way possible.
