The University of Colorado track and field team placed 13 student-athletes, six men and seven women, on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams. Celina grad Michaela Wenning (Junior) earned first team honors. Wenning is a chemical engineering major and has maintained a 4.0 in her first five semesters at CU.
Wenning is the daughter of Bill and Deb Wenning.

2016: Indoor: Wenning tallied a pentathlon personal best score of 3,511 at the Air Force Invite (1/21), which was second overall. At the MPSF Championships, she was 12th with 3,444 points. During the season, Wenning recorded personal bests in the high jump (5-5.75), shot put (34-10.25) and long jump (17-8.25).
Outdoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
