(8-20-17) Richland Center (Wisconsin) extended their losing streak to 32 with a 38-14 loss to Iowa-Grant. Friday they will be at home in a non-conference game against Fennimore, a team the Hornets lost to last season 46-7.
This week two West Virginia schools will have the chance to stop their losing streaks. Hundred, who has lost 38 in a row, will play Clay-Battelle, who they lost to last season 57-0. Poca will try and snap their 37 game losing streak when they go on the road to Nitro. The Dots last season lost to Nitro 9-6, the only team who didn’t score 30 or more points against them.
In two weeks Kimball (Minnesota) and Kemmerer (Wyoming) will try and end their losing streaks of 37 and 36 in a row.
Streak Ending Win
In Wisconsin, Racine Park beat Pius XI Catholic 13-8 to end a 24 game losing streak on Friday night. Park’s last win was over Case 32-17 in a Southeast Conference game.
Racine Park Head Coach Andy Siegal told the Journal Times after the win:
“Young players stepped up for us, and overall it was a really great team win. The defense held up well and gave us many opportunities on offense.”
They stopped another losing streak in their last game of 2016 when Beloit Memorial beat Park 30-26 and that ended the Purple Knights’ 30 game losing streak.
