(10-2-17) After a 2–2 in a WBL conference boys soccer match last week with Shawnee, Kenton fell out of the Top 10 for the first time this season.  Taking their place is conference rival Elida who is 11-0 on the season and ranked #8 this week.

After their latest win over Kalida 4-0,  Elida Coach Tom Thomas told the Lima News:

“To do what we did tonight, I’m really pleased with how we played.’’

“We’re playing with confidence, but we’re only as good as our last match,” Thomas said. “We know next week is going to be a big test for us.’’

This week will be pivotal for deciding a possible WBL conference champ, tonight the Wildcats play O-G, while Elida will play Shawnee. The key could be if neither team looks past tonight’s game, because on Thursday Kenton travels to Elida to take on the Bulldogs. A busy week for both schools.
