(10-21-17) The three coaches we follow on a weekly basis are all former Western Buckeye League coaches, two coached at Celina, Jared Rolfes and Mike Fell, while Mike Mauk coached at Kenton. All three coach in three different states, North Carolina, Arizona and Missouri.
In North Carolina Page rolled to a 48-0 win over High Point Central, Jared Rolfes’ Pirates are now 8-1 on the season.
‘Super’ Sophomore QB Javondre Paige had a big night throwing 6 TD passes (11, 27, 7, 20, 29 and 66 yards.), Cody King caught four of them.
Rolfes told greensboro.com after the game:
“I was pleased with both phases of the game. Overall, we did a good job. But even in a game like this we can find a lot of things to work on. We made a lot of mistakes.
“But, to be honest, our defense has been consistent all year, with the possible exception of the first couple of games. That’s a credit to our defensive staff.”
Up next for the Pirates is Grimsley.
