1991-92 Celina Bulldogs JV Team – Eric Carr #21
(12-20-17) Piedmont (Oklahoma) High School announced the dismissal of its boys basketball coach Aaron Daniels on Tuesday after a violation of the school’s communication policy, just days after Piedmont announced he had been suspended indefinitely.
Piedmont Schools News Release:
“The expectation of Piedmont Public Schools is to maintain and continuously promote a culture of mutual respect and self-worth. After reviewing communications between our high school boys basketball coaching staff and players, it was determined these core values were not being upheld.”
Taking over at Piedmont is assistant vice principal Eric Carr, who previously has coached girls basketball at El Reno (Ok) and most recently was the boys basketball coach at Calumet (Ok). Carr will be the interim coach for the remainder of the season.
In Carr’s debut last night as the Wildcats coach, Piedmont rallied from 11 points down in the 4th quarter to beat El Reno 63-61 in a Suburban Conference rematch. Earlier in the season El Reno beat Piedmont by 29 points. The Wildcats are now 3-4 on the year and 1-2 in league play.
Carr, a former Celina Bulldog, was on Celina’s 1992 JV basketball team his Sophomore year, before relocating with his family to Oklahoma. Carr is the son of Mark and Diane Carr.
