(1-20-18) Celina’s Seth Lonsway picked up another major honor this week when he was named Ohio’s 2017 Mr. Baseball at the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association winter meetings. Lonsway is the first Bulldog to earn the honor in any sport as the top player in Ohio.

Earleir this year he was named the D II co-player of the Year, along with Wapakoneta’s Manny Vorhees. Lonsway was also named the WBL Player of the Year, District Player of the Year, Region Player of the Year and a member of the All State first team. He also was listed on several National All-American lists.

Lonsway was drafted this past summer by the Cincinnati Reds, but passed on their offer and went to Ohio State in the fall.

It has been a big week for the Ohio State left hander, as it was announced he would be playing in the Cape Cod League this summer in Brewster, Massachusetts.
