(2-26-18) The Western Buckeye League announced their 2017-18 Boys and Girls all league teams. Boys and Girls League Champion O-G swept both of the Player of the Year awards, to go along with their WBL championships.
O-G’s Jay Kaufman was named Player of the Year for the 2nd year in a row after leading the Titans to another WBL outright title. O-G also had Owen Hiegel named to the 1st team, Jake Dible to the 2nd team and Ethan White to the 3rd team.
Celina’s Kole Murlin was named to the 2nd team and Brett Schwieterman picked up Honorable Mention honors.
O-G’s Kadie Hempfling was named the WBL Player of the Year after giving the Titans another conference title. Hempfling shared the Honor last season with teammate Kylie White.
Celina’s Lauren Jackson was the only player to be named for the Bulldogs, she picked up Honorable Mention Honors.
