Haley Hawk and Nick Thwaits

(5-8-18) Hall of Famer and New York Yankee Yogi Berra was known for some of the things he would say, one was:

“It’s Like Déjà Vu All Over Again”

For the MAC it happened in both baseball and softball. Two of the best known players to play softball and baseball in Mercer County have been named MAC Players of the Year in back-to-back years, Parkway’s Haley Hawk in Softball and Ft. Recovery’s Nick Thwaits.

Both players have been key contributors for several seasons. Thwaits helped the Indians to their first ever MAC title. Both are two way players with impressive numbers as a hitter and a pitcher. Winning consecutive Player of the Year honors is quite impressive.
