Northwest Central Conference Track Champions Crowned

(5-12-18) Waynesfield-Goshen had a solid 2nd day to pick-up the 2018 Northwest Central Conference boys track championship. The Tigers with 148 points and was well in front of 2nd place Upper Scioto Valley who had 82 points and Hardin Northern with 81 points.

Day 1 Story – Waynesfield-Goshen Jumps Out To Big Lead In NWCC Meet

After winning four NWCC field event titles on Day 1, the Tigers built on that start and added three more wins. Tyler Eller won two of them, the 100 and 4oo meter dashes and he also was a part of the winning 4×200 meter relay.

Temple Christian’s Cameron Worsham, a Huntington University commit, was named the MVP of the boys meet winning both hurdle events and the 200 meter dash

Lehman Catholic picked up the NWCC girls title outscoring 2nd place Waynesfield-Goshen 152-86.

Leading the Cavaliers was Alanna O’Leary,  a DII commit to Hillsdale College, who won the 200 and 400 meter dashes and was also a part of the 4×200 winning relay team. Maria Schmiesing won the 1,600 meter run.
