(2-23-19) The Celina Girls Bowling Team won the D I Sectional Championship in Lima at the 20th Century Lanes lst night.
The Bulldogs were led by Abigail Ehrler (Jr) who had the high game on the night with a 200 and she also rolled a 529 series. Ashtyn Huber (Frosh) rolled a 510 series.
Celina led after the first round with a team score of 2,494, just ahead of Wapakoneta who had a 2,447. The Baker games found the Bulldogs placing third with 1,024…Shawnee won the Baker games with a 1,059 out of the top six teams who move on to the next round. Celina would hang on to win the title by 43 pins over Ashland 3,518-3,475.
At last week’s WBL Tournament Championships the Bulldogs placed 4th, behind both Wapakoneta and Shawnee. It was a nice win for Coach Josh Goff and Celina
