(5-12-19) Today on Twitter Crestview’s Kalen Etzler said he has committed to Ohio State, a win for the Buckeyes. Etzler was a key ingredient this past season during the Knights D IV state title run and championship.
Etzler, 6-8, 195-pounder Junior, was offered this past week and it didn’t take him long to make his choice making it official today.
Etzler is a four-star recruit as the No. 51 overall prospect in the US, the # 14 power forward and No. 2 player in Ohio for 2021.
Etzler has had several other offers including Duquesne, Bowling Greenand Miami of Ohio and was also getting looks from both Purdue and Louisville.
Etzler will also have a new head coach next season at Crestview, his Uncle Doug, who is a past star at both Crestview and Ohio State.
