(7-13-19) The Western Buckeye League’s (#8 seed) Kenton Wildcats end their trip to North Carolina for the Powerade 7on7 Invitational. Kenton was the only Ohio high school to compete in the 32 team tournaments with schools from 19 states.
The Wildcats would pick up a win to start the day in the Winners bracket beating (#25) Johns Creek (Georgia) 28-18. Next up for Kenton was (#9) Louisville Male who knocked the Wildcats off 22-18. Male lost their next game in the winners bracket to Woodward Academy 20-16. Male would win their first game in the losers bracket before being knocked out by (#14) Oakland (Tennessee) 29-23.

Moving down to the losers bracket the Wildcats would lose to (#7) Vero Beach (Florida) 28-12 to end their tournament. Vero Beach would win two more games in the bracket before losing to (#2) McGill-Toolen 30-20.
Great weekend at the Powerade invitational. Competed against some of the top teams in the United States. Ended up as the number 8 seed. Got knocked out by Vero Beach Fl, the 7 seed.
