(2-8-20) The Jay County girls swimming and diving team picked up the IHSAA Sectional title on Saturday in their home pool.

The Patriots outdistanced 2nd place Norwell 416-293. Other Stateline teams competing, South Adams (7th), Adams Central (8th), Bellmont (9th) and Union City (12th).

Rachel Louck advanced to regionals in the diving event.

The five swimmers advanced in individual events in Indianapolis next weekend, along with two relays.

Eliza Bader will swim in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly. Ashlyn Dow will compete in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. Mara Bader advances in the 200 Individual Medley.

Both Baders, Dow and Rieley Brewster will compete in the 200 Medley Relay. Erica Hathaway will replace Brewster and swim in the 200 Free Relay.
