(3-17-20) Belvidere announced today that veteran football coach and Belvidere grad Jim Morrow will be the new head man for the Bucs in 2020. Morrow resigned in 2018 at NIC 10 rival Harlem after 15 seasons as the head coach, last season he was an assistant coach at Beloit College.
During 15 years at Harlem he only missed the playoffs twice (2006 & 2007), but never won a NIC 10 title. His best record, 9-2, came during the 2011 season.
Morrow will replace Darin Wecker who went 6-30 during his four years as head coach, last season the Bucs went 2-7. The last time Belvidere made the playoffs was during the 2015 season and their last NIC-10 title was in 2005, two years before the district opened Belvidere North.
