(5-13-20) Tonight the Courier Sports Twitter account shared information that Leipsic would be leaving the Blanchard Valley Conference after the 2021-22 school year. The item was voted on last night at the Leipsic BOE meeting 5-0 to make the change, the item did not appear on the agenda.

The Northwest Conference was notified by Paulding, before the pandemic, that they would be leaving the NWC to join the Green Meadows Conference. That left the NWC looking for at least one new football member (Lincolnview does not have football).

Should Leipsic be making the move to the NWC it will be the second Putnam County school to be a member joining Columbus Grove. Leipsic fits a lot of the criteria for membership in NWC and is well within the geographic area. No official word from the school or NWC, although Leipsic AD Gary Kreinbrink avoided answering the Courier on a new conference.
Odds are good that the Vikings next home will be the NWC.
