There were no MCL girls games played due to the St. Henry quarantine this week. But Parkway’s Gabby Stober had a good week…gainst Mississinawa Valley she scored 21 of her 34 points in the first half (10 in 1st, 11 in 2nd), she had 19 points against Versailles on Thursday.
A look back at the MCL….1926
1926 saw Celina High School host a Mercer County tournament for both boys and girls basketball teams.
The Celina Kiwanis Club trophy was the reward for winning the tournament.

SSN’s Mercer County League
Why the MCL?
To add a little extra excitement to the high school basketball season SSN again will bring you the Mercer County League.
The first year SSN introduced the (mythical) MCL was in 2018-19.
All six Mercer County high schools are included, actual head to head match-ups between the schools that will determine a MCL champion in both boys and girls basketball.
Reference the 1926 look- back article. The Celina Fieldhouse was not built til 1938-39 so it did not host this 1926 tourney. Probably played in the auditorium gym located in the old high school.
