(4-15-21) Last night Coach Bruce Cahill picked up his 700th career win as a head coach when his Tippecanoe Red Devils (8-0) beat Piqua 12-6.

Cahill is already a member member of the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, he was inducted in 2015. He was inducted into the Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001.

Cahill is currently in his 40th year of coaching high school baseball; 2 years as a Varsity Head Coach at Carlisle, 2 years as a JV coach at Tippecanoe and the past 36 years at Tippecanoe

Had it not been for the pandemic and the cancellation of last year’s season Cahill would have most likely reached the 700 win mark last season. According to the OHSAA web site, there are currently two active coaches ahead of him in the win column is Hall of Famers Defiance’s Tom Held and East Canton’s Doug Miller.
