(5-1-21) Hall of Fame Illinois High School Boys Basketball Coach Steve Goers won 881 games as a head coach, He started in 1968 at Bardolph, with stops at Oswego, LaSalle-Peru, Harvard and finally his last most well known stop at Boylan in Rockford (1981-2011).

During his career he won 881 games and presently stands at #3 on the IHSA All-Time Career Coaching list.

Goers’ career coaching highlights at Boylan include –

  • 17 – sectional titles
  • 30 consecutive winning seasons.
