COLUMBUS, Ohio (5-1-21) – Ohio State banged out 13 hits for the second consecutive game and took down Purdue 12-2 on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Bill Davis Stadium.

The 12 runs were more than enough for Seth Lonsway as the Celina, Ohio native put together another strong, efficient outing. Lonsway went eight innings, allow just two runs on four hits while striking out nine to pick up his third win of the season.

The Buckeye bats were alive again, this time led by Zach Dezenzo and Archer Brookman. Big Z was 3-for-4 with a home run, double and a career-high four runs batted in. Brookman came into the game with just two hits on the season and wouldn’t you know it, he clubbed two home runs and reached base all five times at the plate. Those were his first two home runs as a Buckeye.

Kade Kern had another Kade Kern type of day, going 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Conner Pohl stroked a double in the fifth inning to extend his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games.
