(7-26-21) The start of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) football season is just around the corner.
Taking a look at four Stateline area schools non- conference schools schedules, Jay County, Adams Central, Bellmont an South Adams.
Bellmont is a member of the Northeast 8 and has only two non-conference games both against county rivals, Adams Central and South Adams to open the season.
The other three are members of the seven-member ACAC. They all play three non-conference conference games. With an uneven number of member schools and an opend date from conference games they have to schedule a game later in the schedule.
Adams Central, who is fortunate, will play on week three against Parke Heritage on a Saturday. South Adams will be at Monroe Central during week five and Jay County will travel to Lapel on Week 8.
In Indiana schools can play nine regul;ar season games and everyone qualifies for the tournament, there is no seeding with brackets and is a good old-fashion blind draw.
