What a way to start a football program…playing, Valley, a rival for the first game in school history, cross-town rival Waukee is not on the Wolves regular season schedule.
The Waukee school district planned well for the new school…in July, 2020 Jim Duea, the longtime activities director at Waukee, assumed the same position at Northwest High School, while naming Eric Boyle as Duea’s successor at Waukee High.. The two worked together last summer (2020) and this past fall in making the transition a little bit smoother for both athletic programs.
The 2021-22 school year will be the year of many firsts for every sport, something you can only do once a school. Which makes it a BIG deal to a first-time Wolves athlete.
