(8-22-21) The Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) had a good first week going 7-3 in non-conference match-ups. With the expanded playoffs in place a good indicator for qualifiers from the MAC.

The MAC went 3-0 against the Western Buckeye League (WBL) with Versailles, Coldwater and Marion Local picking up easy wins.
New Bremen traveled across the state line and handled Marion (Ind), a first time match-up for the two schools, and a win for the defending D VII State Champs.
In only the 2nd match-up of the two Delphos schools in history, first during the regular season, Delphos Jefferson knocked off Delphos St. John’s 28-14. The series is now tied at 1-1.
It was a tough first week week for 1st year Minster Coach Seth Whiting as the Wildcats lost to next door neighbor Ft. Loramie 40-7.
In a related week 1 game, former Minster Coach Geron Stokes lost his firat game as coach of Dublin Coffman to Warsaw (Ind) 49-23. The Tigers had over 500 yards rushing in the win.
