(11-13-21) For the New Knoxville Girls Volleyball team it has been an emotional ride the past two weeks…today they had a chance to celebrate something wonderful as a team…winning the Ohio D IV State Volleyball Championship.

The Rangers beat Midwest Athletic Conference rival St. Henry (22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19) to win their first ever State volleyball championship. Just like last Saturday in the Regional Final match they lost the 1st set to Tiffin Calvert, only to come back and win the final three sets.

The Rangers were led by MAC Player of the Year Carsyn Henschen who 19 kills and her sister Avery who added 13. Elle Gabel had 37 assists. Avery Henschen and Haley Fledderjohan both had 11 digs.

Chloe Gels had 18 kills and Brianna Siefring added 17 kills and 12 digs for St. Henry. Lydia Werling had 42 assists
