(11-21-21) The computer point system that the OHSAA is using to determine playoff teams and seedings seems to have done its job this year. With 11 #1 seeds qualifying in the final 28 teams (39%).

Three divisions have 3 #1 seeds, D I, D III and D VII.Two divisions did not have a #1 make it into the Final Four, D II and D VI. Two #7 seeds will be playing this weekend, both in D II. Only four schools
This year during the first week of the playoffs a #16 seed knocked off a #1 seed, we will have to wait another year for a #9 or lower seed to make it to a semi-state game for the first time.
