COMPLETEHouseworth’s Projections

There is a wide gap between the top 5 teams in D-I and the rest of the division. Reynoldsburg is the new #1 team in the state after beating Newark by nearly 30 this past week. Mount Notre Dame and Hoban are hot on their heels, while Dublin Coffman and Princeton round out the top 5. These teams could all shuffle amongst each other by this time next week.

And ugly, double-digit loss to Tri-Valley saw Sheridan fall from #1, all the way out of the top 5. Despite Warren and Granville fighting to be the next #1, northwest Ohio is well represented this week. Bryan, Shelby, and Lima Shawnee round out the top 5, while Napoleon comes in at #7. WBL schools St. Marys and Bath hold steady in the top 20.

Tonight, there is a marquee matchup in for supremacy in D-III. Ottawa-Glandorf and Liberty-Benton square off on WZOQ radio is the biggest test for both programs in this young season. Undefeated Arcanum comes in at #6 while Delphos Jefferson climbs 2 spots to #14

The top 4 teams are all in the Southwest region of Ohio: Fort Loramie, Russia, Cincinnati Country Day, and Tri-Village. Only one of these teams can go to Dayton this spring. The rest of the top 10 are all in the Northwest region including New Knoxville, Convoy Crestview, Minster, and Marion Local. At the current rate, only two of the top 10 teams in D-IV will be in Dayton this spring, at most. That is a problem.
