
(1-7-22) Before the girls basketball game last night against Wapakoneta , the Cougars honored Allie (Clifton) Kalsow. Kalsow, a 2006 Van Wert grad.

Allie is in her 4th season with the Los Angeles Lakers at Spectrum Sports Net. In addition to that, Allie currently serves as part owner and host for the premier “Road Trippin” Sports Podcast alongside NBA stars Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye. As a sports broadcaster, Allie is a 5-time Emmy Awards winner, has over 10 years of experience as a sideline and sports reporter, and has over 10 years of experience playing competitive basketball. Prior to joining Spectrum Sports Net, Allie served as the sideline reporter for FOX Sports Ohio’s Cleveland Cavaliers telecasts, sideline reporter for the Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers), sports feature reporter for 13 ABC Action News in Toledo, and color analyst and sideline reporter for high school and collegiate basketball, volleyball, and track and field on the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN).
Clifton graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Analysis and Communications and a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies. Following an accomplished high school sports and basketball career at Van Wert, Allie continued her basketball success at UT. There, she was a 4-Year letter winner and 3-time co-captain, leading her team to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) West Division title in 2010. While at VWHS, Allie earned 12 varsity letters in 3 sports, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track and Field.
