(1-27-22) In 2021 Blackhawk Christian Boys Basketball Coach Marc Davidson had a season to remember, his Braves won the Indiana Class 2A State title, his star player, Caleb Furst, won the Trester Award and was named Mr. Indiana. All of this taking place during a COVID 19 pandemic.

This season, despite graduation of some key players, Blackhawk Christian moved into the top spot in the AP Class 2A rankings released Tuesday, jumping up two spots. The Braves (13-1) received eight of 11 first-place votes.

Davidson is also in the midst of fighting a tough battle with cancer, doctors visits and treatment, one that he is handling with his strong Christian belief and love of Jesus. While many might be discouraged, Davidson is instead encouraging and sharing his testimony in a way that many see and appreciate.

Davidson is not afraid or ashamed of sharing his personal testimony and his relationship with Jesus. When given the opportunity after the game, win or lose, he gathers his team and their opponent that night and gives words of encouragement and his testimony.

Davidson has made an impact on not just the players, but all that have witnessed what his doing in the lives of many student- athletes.

How can you help…continue to pray for Davidson and his family during this cancer battle.
