(6-17-22) Calvary Christian is taking the next big steps with its athletic program.

The Spartans over the past several years have shown up competing against schools in the stateline area.

Located in Bellefontaine they are currently in a new building project. The first building in this project will be built by the Link Construction Group and construction actually started on March 25. The goal is to have phase 1 of the project completed by the start of September. The new campus is less than 1 mile away from the school’s current location.

Ryan Hyde, Head of School, Calvary Christian School

Our school started back in 1979 and was K-8 for many years. We started the high school in 2012 and joined the Ohio Valley Christian Conference in 2018. We still compete in that conference for most sports but recently petitioned the WOSL (Western Ohio Soccer League) to admit our boys soccer program into league. We were recently accepted for the 2024 fall season. We’ve been prospective OHSAA members since last fall and are on track to receive full membership status this August. We currently have high school athletic programs in boys and girls cross country, boys soccer, girls volleyball, boys golf, boys and girls basketball, and boys and girls track.
