(7-7-22) The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) released its 2022 master football schedules, including a complete listing of games vs. out-of-state opponents.
East St. Louis will play 4 out of their 9 regular season games against out-of-state opponents, including 2 games with Missouri opponents from across the Mississippi River in St. Louis, 1 Maryland and 1 Georgia opponent. Several schools will play 2 out-of-state opponents.
A lot of these games are schools that are close to the border of another state. Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin and Kentucky.
Other states on schedules include Ohio, Georgia, Maryland and Michigan.
43 games in total comprise the list, 16 of those are Illinois-Missouri match-ups.
