(7-28-22) This QB transfer in the Summit Athletic Conference (SAC) should raise some eyebrows. Homestead Sophomore QB Jimmy Sullivan (6’2) indicates on his Twitter account that he will be attending Carroll at the start of the school year. The news has been confirmed in a Tweet –

In a July 22nd article from outsidethehuddle.com, – Jimmy Sullivan -Six players who saw their stock rise in offseason, he was still at Homestead. According to the article he was in a battle for the QB spot with returning Senior Peyton Slaven who had a very good Junior season.

Sullivan saw limited varsity action last season as a Freshman for the Spartans. But the young QB is already catching the eye of college coaches.

Why a the transfer to Carroll? Chargers QB Owen Scheele passed away suddenly in June after a short battle with cancer. Scheele, who would have been a Senior this year, was in position to be the starting QB for the Chargers this year.

Carroll will play at Homestead in a Summit Athletic Conference game on September 30th.
