New Bremen Boys And Minster Girls Pick-Up 2022 MAC Cross Country Titles

(10-15-22) The Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) held its conference cross country meets in Coldwater at Cavalier Stadium.

New Bremen picked up the MAC boys cross country title outdistancing Marion Local 67-50, with Minster in 3rd place with 72 points. It was the just 2nd title for the Cardinals, the last one came in 2008.

Ft. Recovery’s Trevor Heitkamp (Jr) was the individual champion with a time of 16:16.94. New Bremen was led by Zach Wiedeman’s (Jr) 2nd place finish in a time of 16:47.73.

Minster adds another MAC girls cross country title with an impressive 22 points, Ft. Recovery was 2nd with 72 points.

The title is the 35th for Minster and 10th consecutive.

Minster’s Margaret Hemmelgarn (Jr) was the individual champion with a time of 19:20.76. The Wildcats also finished with a 3rd place and 5th, 6th and 7th place finishes (Taylor Roth, Maria Niekamp, Annie Hemmelgarn and Chaney Cedarleaf)
