(12-7-22) New Bremen’s Diana Kramer has added a very prestigious award to her trophy case, Girls High School Coach of the Year, from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Only two coaches were selected, the other coach selected was La Conner (Washington) Coach Suzanne Marble.

Suzanne Marble, La Conner High School (WA)

  • Helped 18-3 La Conner win the 2022 Washington 2B state volleyball title
  • The victory, a 3-0 win over Colfax, clinched the Braves’ fourth-consecutive state championship and seventh overall under Marble
  • Is retiring after this season, which was her 30th at the northwestern Washington school
  • Has been voted the conference coach of the year 14 times and the state coach of the year five times
  • Earned 550th career coaching win early this season
  • Enshrined into the Washington State Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Diana Kramer, New Bremen High School (OH)

  • Guided New Bremen to a 28-1 record and the 2022 Ohio Division IV volleyball state title
  • Marked the fifth time since 2017 the school has either finished as state champs (2017, 2019, 2022) or state runners-up (2018, 2020)
  • Took the head volleyball job at New Bremen HS, following six years coaching at St. Henry HS
  • Between the two schools, she has a 315-40 career record
  • Her 300th victory came in a late-September 3-1 win over Fort Loramie
  • Five of her teams have earned the OHSVCA Coaches’ Poll Championships
