DeGraff Riverside Wins First Bowling State Championship
Graham Local senior Spencer Hannahs wins individual title
COLUMBUS, Ohio (3-4-23) — DeGraff Riverside took a 3-1 win over Coldwater in the final round of the OHSAA Division II boys bowling state tournament Saturday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl to bring home the school’s first bowling state title.
In its first state tournament appearance, Riverside entered the bracket portion of the state tournament as the seven-seed, but came out strong, defeating the two-seed Liberty Center 3-0. Riverside proceeded to defeat Lutheran West 3-1 in the state semifinal to advance to the state final against Coldwater, where a +114 pin overall differential led to the 3-1 win and state title.
Graham Local senior Spencer Hannahs used the fourth-highest three-game series in Division II boys bowling state tournament history to capture the individual state championship, scoring a 729 (212-248-269). Clinton-Massie sophomore Mason Keck garnered individual state runner-up honors with a 677 (224-255-198) three-game series.

Coldwater was led by All-State selection Carter Bertke‘s 5th place finish who rolled a 658 series (212, 248, 269).
Two other Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) teams competed in the state finals…Minster and Versailles. Minster was led by Keetan Sharp who finished 22nd with a 609 series (190, 214, 205) and Versailles was led by Colton Groff who finished28th with a 591 series (196, 185, 210) and Brayden Henry who finished 29th with a 586 series (187, 185,214). Neither school qualified for the championship series, Minster finished 10th and Versailles finished13.
