OHSAA Dumps Martin RPI In Favor Of MaxPreps

(6-8-23) Eric Frantz of MaxPreps responded on Twitter to a recent Martin RPI tweet.

This isn't entirely accurate. MaxPreps is already a partner of the OHSAA. The OHSAA will actually be saving $ by not paying someone else to do the work & allow a partner to do it. And "RPI" will still be used. Not the MP Rankings. https://t.co/h0kr8AHXKf

(6-6-23) In a scathing tweet tonight Martin RPI blasted the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) on their decision to use MaxPreps to determine statewide basketball seedings in the future after Martin RPI did a pilot program in the Northwest District this past year.

Reviewing past minutes of recent Board of Directors meetings there was no mention of using either Martin RPI or MaxPreps next season.

According to the tweet MaxPreps is going to be paying the OHSAA ‘a bunch of money‘. No word if basketball is the only sport that will be given to MaxPreps or if other sports will also be included. Although indications in the tweet said MaxPreps would also be doing other sports.
