(6-19-23) So what is the financial impact to use MaxPreps in the future for seeding certain Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) sports.

OHSAA’s Tim Stried in a Toledo Blade story said—-

“We are not able to share financial terms of our agreements with our corporate partners.”

It is time for both MaxPreps and the OHSAA to reveal the entire plan…the exact seeding process to be used and how much money will be in play. It seems the majority of the membership does not know any of the details and nothing has showed up in board minutes on any of this. No input from any member school.

One way this can happen is if member schools ask to have the information shared. The majority of members are public school districts. OHSAA will scream they are non-profit (wink, wink) and don’t have to share the information.

One final thing…how much of the income will be shared with member schools…pretty easy to answer … N-O-T-H-I-N-G!

Share this story with the OHSAA and MaxPreps, email them, tweet them or give them a call.
