(8-19-23) The Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) and the Western Buckeye League (WBL) finished week one of non-conference games in 2023.

It’s not unusual for the WBL to finish below .500 in non-conference games…this year they are 4-6.

In the past several years the two stateline area conferences (WBL,MAC) continue to schedule multiple games.

This year the MAC had their way with the WBL going 1-4. Bath picked up the only WBL win hanging on to beat New Bremen on Friday 14-7.

Coming from behind Marion Local would hold on to beat Wapakoneta 29-26 and allowing the Flyers to keeping their 33 game consecutive game winning streak alive.

Despite St. Henry’s head coach Brad Luthman being suspended for one game…the Redskins knocked off WBL power St. Marys 17-0.
