Kirtland Handles Versailles In OHSAA D VI State Title Game

(12-1-23) Kirtland didn’t need much more incentive in today’s OHSAA D VI State Football Championship game.

Over the years the Hornets have played in numerous state final games and most times it was against a Midwest Athletic Conference team…this year was no different. But Kirtland would take advantage of the past to beat Versailles 32-15 and also get a little revenge from Tigers who ended their 55 consecutive game winning streak in the 2021 title game.

With the win Kirtland end the season at 15-1 and wins its seventh state football title. Versailles finishes the year at 13-3.
