Just received confirmation that Garfield Heights lost its case in a Franklin County court to have the last 2:50 of the regional final replayed vs. Whitmer. Panthers will go on as scheduled to play Centerville on Saturday night in the #OHSAA Division I state semifinals.

Garfield Heights athletic director Michael Cruz said his school has filed an injunction Thursday afternoon against the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) because it wants the final 2 minutes, 50 seconds of last weekend’s regional final to be replayed because of an error in how many fouls were assessed to Toledo Whitmer’s leading scorer.

Upon a film review, Whitmer leading scorer Antione West committed five fouls in the Panthers' 49-47 win Saturday vs. Garfield Heights, but remained in the game for the final 2:50.

Whitmer is due to play Centerville in a D I State Semifinal on Saturday at 8:30pm.
