Troopers say the truck went off the road where it struck two parked vehicles in a driveway.

Hess was taken to the hospital in Hillsdale where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. The passenger was life-flighted to Mott Children’s Hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.

Hess competed in three sports at Edgerton, football, wrestling and baseball.
