(9-30-24)The Celina Girls Tennis Team won the WBL Tournament on Saturday to secure the WBL Championship, the Bulldogs went undefeated in dual league play.

For the Bulldogs it was their 7th WBL title, with the last being in 2012 (2024, 12, 11, 10, 09, 07, 2002).

The Bulldogs were led by Elise Muether who won the WBL 2nd singles title and was also given the Sportsmanship Award. Her coach Jan Morrison was named Coach of the Year.

Playing singles for the Bulldogs were- Isabelle Thobe (3rd place 1st singles), Elise Muether, and Katie Guingrich (2nd place 3rd singles).

Bulldogs’s doubles team were Kaleah Dailey and Larissa Jackson (2nd place 1st doubles) and Taryn Willrath and Jadice Dorsten (3rd place 2nd doubles).

Elise Muether won the Sportsmanship Award, as voted on by all opposing teams.
