(11-17-24) The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) has 32 schools remaining in 8 divisions for state football titles. Taking a look at the remaining seeds shows some interesting trends.
Seeding teams for the IHSA playoffs might have come to a point in time when some changes or adjustments might be needed.
Of the 32 teams remaining only 7 teams had #1 seeds, 4 of the 8 classes have a #1 seed. Class 4A’s highest seed remaining is a #7 seed.
Lincoln-Way Central remains with a #24 seed in Class 7A. There are 8 remaining double-digit seeds overall.
