(6-1-26) The Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference (CMAC) announced Monday morning that it will add Mount Healthy as its newest member school starting in the 2027-28 school year.

The addition of the Owls will help the football schedule. In 2025, the CMAC Blue Division had just three teams (CCPA, Shroder and Gamble Montessori) while the Red Division had six (Taft, Withrow, Aiken, Western Hills, Hughes and Woodward).

Non-football members include DePaul Cristo Rey, Oyler and Spencer Center.

CMAC Commissioner Josh Hardin in a news release-

“The CMAC is excited to welcome Mount Healthy High School. The school athletic directors and board of control overwhelmingly supported them joining as full members. This partnership represents growth, opportunity, and a shared commitment to providing meaningful experiences for student-athletes both on and off the field. Mount Healthy’s tradition, leadership and community support will make them a tremendous addition to the conference.”

Mt. Healthy AD Nick Khoury said in a statement-

“We are honored and excited to join the CMAC. Our student-athletes, coaches, families and community are looking forward to building relationships and competing alongside schools that value academics, athletics, leadership and student growth. We already play many of the CMAC schools in all sports, this made sense for Mount Healthy.”

Mount Healthy is a former member of the Southwest Ohio Conference. The SWOC was established in 2012 and will fully dissolve after this year’s football season.

The conference fell apart when Ross and Edgewood left to join the Southwestern Buckeye League in 2022 and Talawanda left in most sports in 2025, that left the SWOC with just three member schools (Harrison, Mt. Healthy and Northwest).

Harrison and Northwest are still looking for a new conference home.
