🚨#8 Parker Update🚨
Update From Sierra Wynk Facebook page.
Day 13: The past few days have been a whirlwind! On Tuesday, we officially said goodbye to the ICU and the people who had literally taken care of Parker’s every need… well, except for scratching his head, stretching him in the wee hours, picking his boogers and itching his face. That was Mom and Dad’s department.
But seriously, those ICU nurses were the GOATs—especially Victoria and JJ. 🙌🏻 Praise God for nurses like them, and for the incredible PTs and OTs who cared for Parker there. We are also SO thankful for the new PTs and OTs at Dodd, who are ready to get to work with him!
Yesterday, Parker started his therapies at Dodd, and they already had him smiling a bunch. That was such a blessing to this mama’s heart.
And of course, visits from his teammates, coaches, friends, his girlfriend, and family ALWAYS make him smile. There’s just something about seeing his people walk through that door that lifts his spirits.
We also had a VERY special celebrity visitor yesterday—Bill! And if you’re from Celina, you know Bill is truly famous around here.
When I moved to Celina 20 years ago, Bill was one of those people who always made me feel seen. He never forgets a face and has said hi to me every single time he’s seen me—and still does. He’s also been watching Parker play sports for about eight years now and even recently recalled watching him play when he was around 9. Pretty special.
And yesterday , HE GOT DRESSED!!
If you know what I do for a living, you know I believe what we wear matters in how we approach our day. Look good. Feel good. Do good. And a hospital gown just wasn’t giving us the empowerment we need to get down to the business of REHABBING.
So they dressed Parker in his Bulldog gear, complete with tennis shoes, and he looked like himself again.
This kid has always been ready to grind and loved the grind , and rehab will be no different.
I also want to take a moment to share what a blessing it was to do my first Cabi show last night with some of the amazing women who helped me begin my Cabi business here in Celina. They opened their minds and their hearts to something new 11 years ago, and as God would have it, they were my very first show back to styling last night. What a blessing each of you is to me, my Cabi girls!
I love you all, and I am so thankful for the BIG ways you have been there for me and my family. You have blessed me more than you know. God bless you all!

Thank you to so many NFL players and coaches who have literally sent Parker encouragement. It amazes me that in this sport of football, people truly support one of their own when he gets hurt playing a sport they all love. The hearts of these guys sending videos are HUGE. We loved all of their messages. Calijah Cancey of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had some really inspiring words here! Thank you for those!
I hope you enjoy watching him move in these videos and seeing some of his new skills because he is progressing and getting stronger every single day!
We know there is a long road ahead, but we continue to see God’s goodness in every bit of progress. Please keep praying fervently for Parker’s spinal cord to heal, for movement especially in his hands and feeling to continue returning throughout his body, and for strength and endurance as he gets down to business at Dodd. Please also pray for Gianna, Channing, and Hudson. Thank you!
New place. New team. Same Parker. Time to grind. #8
Praise God for progress.
