Day 10 update from the Wynk family.
PRAISE GOD — DAY 10.
As God would have it, Parker stood with assistance on Day 8, and today he wiggled the toes on his LEFT foot! We have been waiting and praying for movement on that side, as he has been able to move the right a little for a bit. Every tiny movement feels HUGE right now.
We still have a very long road ahead, but God continues to give us little glimpses of hope. Please keep praying fervently for Parker’s spinal cord to heal and for movement and feeling to continue returning throughout his body — and also for a bed to open up at Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital. God is working, and we FEEL your prayers. Thank you.
I’m sharing a few of Parker’s senior pictures, and I cannot tell you how thankful I am that we took them early. Seeing him standing there so strong and healthy, and walking is something I treasure differently now. I know that strong kid is STILL right there.

And of course, there was his meeting with Ryan Day, coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes! What an incredible bright spot. After TWO legendary Ohio State coaches have taken the time to care about and encourage our boy, I may actually have to break down and wear Scarlet and Gray this year.
And then…the tailgate. WOW. Seeing so many people wearing custom shirts for Parker, showing up for our Bulldogs, contributing all of these items in support of Parker, time, money and SO much love — we simply have no words. So many people helped make it such a fun community night while also raising money to help our family through all of this. The outpouring of love is honestly beyond our comprehension. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Friends and family also continue to travel to Columbus just to sit with Parker, encourage him, hug us, pray with us and remind us that we aren’t walking this road alone. Every visit, message, meal, shirt, bracelet, donation, prayer and act of kindness matters more than you could possibly know. Thank you.
We could never adequately thank everyone who has loved our family through these last 10 days. Just know that we see it, we feel it, and we are deeply, deeply grateful.
One day at a time.
One movement at a time.
One prayer at a time.
Keep praying for our #8. God isn’t finished. 💚
