(3-22-25) Today at UD Arena in Dayton in a low scoring game that Monroe Central (26-3) controlled… the Seminoles would pick up a 43-35 win over Marion Local (26-3), to claim the first ever Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) D VI state title.
It was Monroe Central’s first state title in school history.
The Seminoles led the Flyers after every break… 14-6, 23-17 and 30-24.

Both teams struggled at the FT line…the Seminoles were 10 of 18 and the Flyers were just 4 of 11. From behind the arc Monroe Central was 5 of 16 and Marion Local 3-17.
Marion Local won the rebound battle 26-22.
The Seminoles had three in double-figures…Corbin Farnsworth with 12 points, Cooper Howell and Chance Allen both had 10 points.
Marion Local was led by Austin Niekamp with 13 and Grant Kremer with 11 points.
