(5-17-25) Despite Mother Nature’s constant interference last night the 2025 Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) Track & Field Championships were completed.
In the boys meet Marion Local held on to win the MAC title beating Versailles 133.5-122.5. It was the 4th consecutive title for the Flyers and 10th over all (1976, 1979, 1981, 1989, 1993, 1995, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025).
Leading the Flyere were wins by Derek Otte 14’0 in the pole vault, 4×200 Meter Relay – Andrew Pohlman, Oliver Huelsman, Justin Knouff and Mason Jones (1:30.18) and Victor Hoelscher 400 meter Dash (50.14)

Coldwater freshman Johnny Pohlman’s MAC Long Jump Record of 22-4.75 broke one of the oldest MAC boys records set back in 1988 by Minster’s David Heucker, who had a jump of 22-3.

In the girls meet Coldwater picked up an impressive title outdistancing Minster 132-118.
The Cavaliers won their 7th overall MAC title and their 1st since 2019. (1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2019 and 2025)
