Edinburgh was scheduled to play on Friday night at Class A second-ranked North Decatur (6-1) and Brown County the following weekend. This weekend the IHSAA will draw for the playoffs. With Edinburgh cancelling football it leaves 1A Section 47 with seven teams. (7): Eastern Greene, Greenwood Christian Academy, Knightstown, Milan, North Decatur, South Decatur, West Washington  

The season has been a ‘nightmare’ for the Lancers who canceled its homecoming game against Milan on September 13 after Edinburgh Police had responded to the high school after a report of harassment involving one or more football players was made.

The incident started during football practice when a couple of players got into an argument.

Media reports said the the argument stemmed from an altercation related to racial comments that were made by one or more players. The mother of a player revealed that her son had been bullied by teammates because of his race.
