On Thursday…Rockfor (Illinois) Auburn basketball star Amir Danforth broke his uncle Fred VanVleet’s all-time scoring record for Auburn High School and Rockford Public Schools (RPS 205), surpassing VanVleet’s 1,754 points during a game against Boylan on December 11, 2025, where he scored 27 points, making him the new RPS leading scorer and adding to his own Auburn single-game record of 44 points from the previous season
Cameron Elwer becomes MAC’s all-time scoring leader as St. John’s tops Minster
Delphos (Ohio) St. John’s basketball star Cameron Elwer broke the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) all-time scoring record on December 12, 2025, during a game against Minster, scoring 45 points to surpass Justin Ahrens’ previous record of 2,046 points. Elwer hit a jumper with about six minutes left in the fourth quarter to secure the historic mark, finishing the night with 2,062 career points and 11 three-pointers.
